Nike · 2014 – 2018

Nike.com — A Master Class in Branding

Of all the projects I worked on during my time with Nike, designing the weekly homepage updates for nike.com has been the highest-profile — as nike.com typically receives 100–140 million visits per month. I was personally responsible for completing weekly homepage updates and supporting email campaigns for nike.com. This meant working collaboratively with multiple heads of Nike categories, meeting fast-paced production deadlines, and executing the high brand standard Nike is known for.

Nike · 2014 – 2018

Nike Global Football

For over three years I worked closely with Nike Football to help revitalize their web experience from top to bottom. This included their introductory pages, boot-specific silo pages, and any Football related content.

Beyond the constant design refinements, I was also responsible for the final production of all of Global Football's digital assets. The work you're about to see is a small fraction of what I completed during my time with one of the wildest categories in all of Nike.

Grön · 2018 – 2025

The Designer of Grön's Brand

It was an honor to serve as the leader of Grön's brand — first as Creative Director for four years and then as Senior Vice President of Brand for the last two. Being granted total creative control over an emerging brand's aesthetic and strategy was an opportunity I will forever be grateful for.

  • Established national brand standards for Grön and its four sub-brands (Pearls, Mega, Pips, Chocolate), ensuring cohesive brand identity across all platforms.
  • Successfully managed brand continuity across regular marketing initiatives, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence.
  • Overhauled and updated the eatgron.com website, enhancing user experience and ad funnel design.
  • Crafted comprehensive design briefs for elements of brand expansion, guiding creative direction.
  • Conducted creative reviews with C-Suite executives regarding future brand expansions, aligning vision and execution.
  • Collaborated in the development of Grön's mission statement, internal values, and core competencies to strengthen company culture.
  • Designed and implemented a comprehensive digital Figma ecosystem used by every department.

Astronoma · 2018

The best cannabis in the multiverse.

In early 2018, CEO of Grön Confections, (makers of the best edibles on planet earth) Christine Smith began a small venture into a non-edibles cannabis brand. What came from that initiative ultimately became Astronoma – a sleek, fun, self-aware brand, and once-in-a-lifetime design opportunity.

Over the last five years, I've been designing, developing, and playtesting a 4X-light battle-royale board game. The prototype is in a final state — with hundreds of successful playtests — and is currently in the early stages of final production.

Always say thank you.

During my senior year, legendary designers Nancy Skolos and Thomas Wedell completed a workshop on collage with the senior class of OSU graphic-design students. It affected me so much that I ultimately did my senior thesis on collage as a medium and its uses in graphic design. I even sent them a copy and a letter expressing my gratitude.

They wrote back. In an enclosed package was a signed copy of their book — a thank-you that humbled me, and a reminder that the act of writing a letter still matters.

Majin Planet · 1999 – 2001

Origin of a Designer

In 1999, I — Majin Mebs — founded Majin Planet, a Dragon Ball Z fansite. At sixteen, I was unknowingly taking my first step into the design world, and about to start a domino effect of design firsts that would forever change the rest of my life.
